Thanks for stopping by and checking out my new blog spot. 2020 is a new year for us all and it is a year full of new opportunities for myself and my family. In years past I often let things weigh me down. Once upon a time I lived a life that was much more light and almost carefree. I was almost oblivious to the opinions of those around me and marched much more confidently to the beat of my own drum.
I am not sure how or when, but my drumbeat became less and less and harder to hear. Life offered many distractions and I got caught up in them- even the well-meaning-serving-Jesus kind of distractions. So, what does this have to do with tumbleweeds?
Tumbleweeds are free and carried by the wind of the Lord. I desire the same- to be freely caught up in the wind of the Holy Spirit...to go where the Lord sends me- sends my family.
The word, triumphant, takes less explanation. It can be defined as, "feeling or expressing jubilation after having won a victory or mastered a difficulty." The past few years have been joyous but they have also seen a few struggles along the way. The Lord brought us through each one, imparting a little wisdom for the journey.
This new year I see and feel more confident and triumphant. I want to embrace that fully as we yield ourselves to the Master's plan. Therefore, I am choosing to be a triumphant tumbleweed- who knows? maybe even unapologetically.
